Jano Williams is a professional garden designer based in Bristol, and designs large and small gardens all over Britain. She spent 14 years in Japan and was an award winning film director, before graduating with distinction at the College of Garden Design in 1997. After some years of designing gardens she was admitted as a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers - the professional body for garden designers. Her design philosophy is to ensure that, through good communication with her clients and by implementing the principles of professional design, she gives them a beautiful garden, that sits comfortably within it’s environment, and is everything they could have dreamed of.
 
The Society of Garden Designers
The Society of Garden Designers was established in 1981 and is the only professional body in the UK dedicated solely to garden design. It is active nationally and internationally.
The Society’s membership includes Students,Graduates, Correspondents, Fellows and Registered members. Fellows and Registered members have been approved by the Society, after their work has been assessed by the Society’s panel of experts. They may then use the letters FSGD or MSGD after their names.
